Ayan's writing fills the gap that most of us need filled: fun and friendly writings on media and culture but from a perspective we don't usually get to see. I get excited to see what Ayan's going to make me think about for the next seven days - and I invite you to do the same!
Sam writes from a deeply personal place and I think that's what makes their writing so believable and real. Honesty is so important when we're reading about such raw themes: I think if we all wrote a little bit like Sam, we'd be a lot more better off.
With such a vast selection of work to read from in this day and age, Auraist and the team behind them are helping get the best work to us, the dedicated readers. A great initative and a fantastic resource.
Celia's definitely written about something you've not thought about - even if you consider yourself a self-professed cinema nerd. Their writing will make you want to get your own thoughts down whilst also asking you questions you never thought you'd be asked (most recently, if men buying haunted houses in films gives you the ick). Definitely subscribe for a refreshing take on the movies we love.
I get so excited to read Via's work and I'm only a recent subscriber myself. Such a unique take on media writing. I'm a serial categoriser and Via's writing on food in film, niche stereotypes or micro-trends really satisfy my urges for deep cuts on film. You've never read something as original as Via's takes for sure - give it a go and subscribe!
